Professor Thrupiece and His Circle 1972
This delightful conversation piece was sketched by Ms Constance Sturgis RA in the King's Head Poole in 1972. It captures the Professor, Ms Audrey Badminton Court, Ms Celia Notso-Pointy and others relaxing in the public bar and discussing issues of the day: something they often did when gathered for late Sunday morning drinks. Ms Sturgis was herself a member of the Professor's small group of friends and originally made the sketch for her own amusement. It was acquired by Ms Celia Notso-Pointy as a gift for her companion Ms Audrey Badminton Court and is offered for a limited period in a signed limited edition.
